Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Ltd was started in 1911, with its first branch in Mombasa, Kenya. It is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and offers a wide variety of services. These include: a wide range of accounts offered through ATMs online and mobile platforms and an extensive physical branch network; credit cards, a wide range of savings and current accounts, loans and mortgages, insurance products, and investment services (including mutual funds, unit trusts, and fixed income securities). The bank’s Nairobi headquarters also host the regional Shared Service Centre, which provides technological support to its operations in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa on a real time basis. Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Ltd was listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange in 1989, and consists of about 32,000 individual investors holding a combined stake of 26%. |
