About The Company
Nairobi Securities Exchange Ltd was formed to manage the principal securities exchange in Kenya. Its principal activities include offering an automated platform through which shares and other securities (e.g. derivatives and bonds) can be listed and traded, and to develop, support, undertake, and promote all the activities and functions associated with a bourse. These include the provision of clearing and settlement and central counterparty services for derivatives transactions. In 2014, the Nairobi Stock Exchange was demutualised. The ownership was separated from the firm’s right to participate in trading, enabling it to have as its shares listed on the NSE.
